According to Us Weekly, Ashley Hebert (last season’s Bachelorette) and JP Rosenbaum are moving. The happy couple is headed to New Jersey. Leaving New York for New Jersey you ask? Why yes, I know it seems like a strange decision, but hear them out. Ashley, 27, was accepted into a pediatric residency in Philadelphia. JP, 34, is still working out of New York, so they settled on New Jersey as a middle ground where they could both commute. Planning on moving before July, the couple is on the hunt for an abode possibly in the “Princeton area,” says JP.
Quick update about the most recent Bachelorette couple, Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum. Warning: Cuteness about to ensue. JP and Ashley are still going strong, making wedding plans (though not as far along on the wedding plan front as Holly and Blake, Ashley admitted through Twitter.) The couple is enjoying life in NY with their teacup Yorkie, Boo (see below for pic).
According to Wetpaint.com JP shared his love of hockey with Ashley by taking her to a NY Islanders game. Just take a look at this interview of the couple and watch how they interact with each other, still in the honeymoon phase.

Also, back in October Ashley ran in the Rock ‘N Roll Half Marathon in Los Angeles on the ASPCA’s Team with a respectable finishing time of 2:08:29 (9:48 mile pace). Her “cupcake” JP stood proudly on the sidelines snapping photos and cheering her on. Ashley also has another half marathon in her future with a few other Bachelor/ette stars. Watch out Vegas, you can expect a couple Bachelor/ette couples headed your way, but more on that later…
Benjamin Flajnik or more commonly referred to as Ben F. will become Season 16’s bachelor, making his debut on January 2nd 2012.
Who is this man you ask? Stats: Tall, dark, and quirky
6’3” (yummy), 28-years-old, winemaker (yes please), plays golf, hails from Sonoma, CA and therefore is naturally a San Francisco Giants fan
Background: He has one sister and a Jack Russell Terrier (named Scotch). Ben F.’s father passed away four years ago causing Ben to become ’emotionally closed off’. In The Bachelor/ette world he has been labeled as a skeptic of The Bachelorette process. However, according to him The Bachelorette process (including being publicly dumped by Ashley) has helped him open up. Hmmm… we’ll see if the pain and heartbreak brought on by The Bachelorette has opened the way for new love.
In case you missed it, Ben F. was the runner-up on this last season of The Bachelorette with Ashley Hebert. At The Bachelorette’s season finale, Ben got down on one knee to propose and was subsequently rejected. Ouch.
Watch it all go down and relive that awkward moment here!
How can someone so in love that he was ready to propose be ready to date and find someone again so soon? That is an excellent question. Well, we’ll see on January 2nd how and if this tall, quirky, winemaker finds love.
So far it seems Bachelor fans are content with ABC’s choice of Ben F. as this season’s lucky bachelor. On ABC’s poll when asked if they were excited about Ben as the Bachelor, 57% of respondents were ‘excited for next season,’ 19% were ‘warming up to him‘ and 24% would ‘know once they saw the Bachelorettes.’ However, I don’t think ABC gave respondents the proper opportunity to voice any negative feelings about the new bachelor…duh, that would just be bad PR. So instead my Bachelor Fans (BFs) tell me here what you really think about Ben…
Hello and welcome to the first edition of After the Final Rose. To get started I wanted to make sure you were all caught up with the Bachelor/Bachelorette world or at least had the basics down. So welcome to The Tangled Web of Love: one easy recap.
Jason & Molly
Of the 15 Bachelor seasons, 1 resulted in a marriage (Jason Mesnick and Molly Rycroft). This was only after Jason proposed to a different girl and publicly broke up with her on television months later. Then promptly after that he asked Molly for a shot at love. Surprisingly, she agreed and after much media scrutiny and backlash they had a beautiful wedding and are happily living in Seattle with Jason’s son Ty.
Bachelor Breakups: Well if you couldn’t tell already there have been many breakups, but none more public than Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi’s breakup. They agreed to discuss it in an interview on ABC and by ‘discuss’ I mean cry, yell, argue and interrupt each other to see who could control the spotlight the longest. Vienna definitely stole the show by cutting the interview short with her overdramatic exit in tears. My personal opinion – they each love the limelight more than any other person in the world.
So in sum, 3 out of the 7 (43%) seasons of The Bachelorette have resulted in relationships, compared with 1 out of 15 (6%) seasons of The Bachelor…So far the ladies seem to be choosing a bit more wisely than the men but I won’t speculate on why that may be…
The Bachelor Pad we may cover later. That’s its own set of issues…
