First Asian American Bachelorette, New Bachelor Mansion Location, and It’s Shot O’Clock!

First Asian American Bachelorette Jenn Tran is ready to start her love adventure! The men have entered the mansion! And I have to say I was fearful for Jenn’s life when the shot o’clocks started to roll in. Thankfully, there were only two tonics she had to sip.

There’s a new location for this season of The Bachelorette The Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California. But the crew didn’t stay there for long before they were off to Australia.

Who got kicked off: Brendan, Brett, Dakota, Kevin, Matt, Moze, and Ricky went home the first night. Upon exiting, Brett told Jenn to “pick a good one.” It was sweet.

Men with Montages

Marcus, Sam M. (Southern Sam), Sam N. (from Carlsbad), Grant, Thomas N., Aaron Erb (he’s a twin to Noah!), Devin, and Dylan each got montages so we could find out a little bit more about these men.

First Impressions

Marcus was first out the limos. He was an army ranger. He got discharged and woke up in a hospital in DC after his unit was hit with a grenade in a compound. (montage)

Marvin spoke French.

Grant from New Jersey beatboxed. He played pro basketball overseas, got injured and is now in finance. (montage)

My California Dudes

Sam N. from Carlsbad, CA (my neck of the woods) is an Entrepreneur. He had a terrible pun. “Call me a Jenn-tleman. He repeated it, and the producer was like I get it. He folded embarrassed, “Oh gawd.” (montage)

Austin from San Diego brought a fire extinguisher

Jonathan from Los Angeles came in on a stretcher with his face bandaged and told Jenn he was “Love Sick.” As he went up the stairs, you could see his butt with the open back of his hospital gown.

Dylan from Sacramento, California is a medical student and just took the MCAT. He came in with a stethoscope. (montage)

Thomas N. was an Olympic hopeful swimmer. He is from a Vietnamese family just like Jenn. He gave her a bracelet and told her he hoped it was a win-win situation. (montage)

Dakota took a sword to a champagne bottle.

Brendan the Canadian ate two hot peppers and did not offer any to Jenn. Sent home.

Kevin arrived in ski boots with ski gear. It looked very uncomfy.

Spencer brought pocket square options to match Jenn on her dress for the night. He owns a biz for pets where he puts faces of pets on things like iphone cases. He’s an animal lover like Jenn.

The Shot O’Clockers

Sam M. from Myrtle Beach, SC and shall henceforth be known as Southern Sam asked Jenn to picture them together old and still saying shot o’clock. He is a contractor. (montage)

Brian brought shots in giant syringes to make a pun off of the fact that Jenn is in PA school.

Matt brought ginger shots.

Ricky wrote something that mentioned being naked under scrubs.

Tomas A. from Toronto brought puppies.

Aaron Erb is an aerospace engineer, one of 11 kids, and the fraternal twin brother of Noah from previous Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise seasons. (Noah is now engaged to Abigail where they met on Bachelor in Paradise!). Aaron got married at 21 and then subsequently got divorced. He’s an adrenaline junkie and rode in on a motorcycle with a sidecar. (montage)

Jeremy from New York rode in in a very nice red sports car.

John brought a box for Jenn to stand on and said he’d put Jenn on a pedestal. He’s also a medical student.

Jahaan brought a queen chess piece.

Devin from Houston, Texas was raised by a single mom and reminded Jenn of Pete Davidson. (montage)

Hakeem came in with a whole lotta of balloons strapped around his chest like the movie UP. He earned a golf clap from Brian and approval from the other men. Hakeem said he was “ready to pop off” and that there were going to be “a lot of ups and downs” but he would “always be here to uplift” Jenn.

At the Cocktail Party

At the cocktail party, Jenn said she wanted a “ferocious love.”

First Impression Rose and First Kiss: Southern Sam M. got the first impression rose and a really nice first kiss. Southern Sam also stole her first at the cocktail party to talk with her.

Thomas N. told Jenn about the tattoos on fingers for his South Vietnamese dual citizenship and told Jenn he swam for Vietnam.

All the men supported Jonathan who came in with his face bandaged up and his butt showing behind the hospital gown. Jonathan finally took off the bandage with his alone time with Jenn, and Jenn was pleasantly surprised.

Austin from San Diego said, “I’m keeping track of where he’s sitting, because I don’t want butt sweat on my pants,” in reference to Jonathan’s bare booty hanging out of his hospital gown ensemble.

The crew played a Truth or Dare game. Ironically, Austin’s dare was to streak through the house.

Moze is an algebra and computer science teacher and he took Jenn over to a chalkboard with equations on it. He asked Jenn how many ex’s she had. She answered 3 and Moze responded, “We’re just gonna cross out all the X’s.” Hilarious. And his solution was i ❤ u.

Grant played basketball with Jenn.

Preview: The lease on the new mansion is short-lived as Jenn and her men are headed to Melbourne, Victoria Australia tomorrow!
