Bring out the Men! Joan Vassos is the First Golden Bachelorette. Gold Gown and First Impressions.

It is the series premiere of The Golden Bachelorette with Joan Vassos, 61. Joan is a 61-year-old from Rockville, Maryland, looking for a man who puts family above all else. She lost her husband, John, to cancer after 32 years of marriage, and she was on The Golden Bachelor with Gerry Turner but had to leave early to help take care of her daughter who was going through post-partum depression. Joan is a mom to four children and a grandmother to three children. Joan has 24 men ready to vie for her heart on the first ever Golden Bachelorette.

The ABC website is not showing Gregg on the cast page. Anywho, I did some digging for you and his bio is here, and a Reddit user posted the full 24 men together in a handy-dandy image.

Who got kicked off: I wanted her to keep them all, but that’s not the name of the show. Going home night one were Bill, David, Ken, Pablo, RJ, and Thomas.

Joan is looking gorgeous in her golden gown! I’m obsessed with her stylist this season.

First Impressions: KEEP THEM ALL! They all seemed great.

Kim got a montage and he is a retired navy captain, where he was on active duty of a destroyer for 27.5 years.

Jonathan wore a blindfold and told Joan he related to the “feeling invisible” thing Joan had mentioned.

Chock walked up and told Joan he was a hugger. Chock knew Joan liked to cook chicken noodle soup, so he brought his own for Joan to taste and dubbed it “Chock-o-noodle Soup.” Joan was pleasantly surprised.

Michael forgot his name. He said, “I’m,” and then paused and continued, “Michael. That’s my name.” It was cute.

Gary came in dancing.

Gregg lives in Florida and came in saying he worked for “Sandollars” as a retiree and used the word “euphemistic.” Amazing.

Pablo is a retired agency director for the UN and lives in Maryland. Joan also lives in Maryland.

Charles was married for 36 years to his wife and has two daughters. His wife passed away.

Guy is an ER doctor and Joan thinks he’s cute. He brought cologne and did a sniff test.

Charles K. came out of the limo with a cane, dropped it and dropped down and gave Joan 10. Push-ups!

Ken came from Boston and told Joan she looked wicked awesome.

Gil from California brought a baseball and gave Joan a light throw, telling her she was a great catch.

David rode in on a horse. And then proceeded to lose it after he was engrossed in talking to Joan.

Keith drove in in a station wagon with luggage.

Mark: Mark is Kelsey Anderson’s (The Bachelor Joey’s pick) dad. Kelsey stepped out of the limos in a sweet lime green dress and introduced her dad Mark. Kelsey already knew Joan from Bachelor nation get-togethers and fundraising events before this show started filming.

Pascal is a Frenchman living in Chicago and owns a beauty salon.

Jack is a good time. He owns a restaurant in Chicago.

Joan’s men seem great! At the Cocktail Party:

First Impression Rose: The First Impression Rose went to Keith. He also got a kiss.

So many California boys. Jordan brought a gift for Joan’s granddaughter Hartly. It was a shirt that showcased Chicago deep-dish pizza and a hotdog. All of the men played pickleball outside the mansion. Jack chef’d for her. Bob told her he had been hit by a lightning bolt while surfing and he told Joan he’s here to see if lightning can strike twice. Yo. Charles brought tea for him and Joan. Michael brought a book about plants because he knew Joan liked to garden. He made a cute joke that it was his 3rd-grade book report on Go, Dog, Go. It was cute.

All of the men are so supportive of each other and talked about their kids and grandkids. At the end of the night, the producers even put together a video montage of a lot of the men’s children and grandchildren wishing them luck on their journey to find love. Charles’ daughter told him at the start of her college years, he told her, “Take a deep breath or make a joke and now I’m passing the dad wisdom back to you, Dad, as you go through this process.” It was so sweet. It was also so cute watching the men walk around the Bachelor mansion in awe of it. When it came time for the rose ceremony, Joan got super emotional about not wanting to send anyone home.

Kudos to the cast of The Golden Bachelorette. They were filming all night into the early hours, and a lot of those men were still on Central and East Coast time. Also, there were still no chairs for the contestants at the rose ceremony as once proposed by the ladies of The Golden Bachelor. I think we can make this happen.

Joan has a lot of people going home so early on. We are flying through this season. The Golden Bachelorette is on Wednesdays at 8|7c on ABC.
