They’re Going to Disney! A Talent Show and 80’s Prom and Backyard BBQs with Jack’s Cannonballs

It’s week 2 of The Golden Bachelorette with Joan! We’re down to 14 men. Joan and Chock got to go to Disneyland this episode. And the crew went to prom and did a talent show. Instead of a cocktail party we had an outdoor BBQ in the mansion’s backyard, and Joan got to have a lot of quality one-on-one time with the guys.

Who got kicked off: The men who went home week 2 were Bob, Christopher, Jack and Michael

Group Date: Gary, Bob, Jonathan, Charles L., Mark, Jordan, Guy, and Keith went to an 80’s-themed prom with Joan. The producers had a rack of outfit options. I love how polite these guys are when they’re picking out their outfits. They support each other and delicately look through the options – as opposed to the women on any Bachelor season that tear through each other to get the best outfit. A limo picked up Joan and her many dates and took them to a local LA high school. Prom came complete with a photo booth, dancing, spiked punch and a Prom Queen and King. At prom, the group had a guest singer. Taylor Dayne sang for the group. Jordan revealed he had gone on a first date with Taylor Dayne before. Weird. Jonathan told Joan that his prom date in high school had cancelled on him and he ended up missing out on his prom. Jonathan got the group date rose and was also crowned prom king.

First One-on-One Date: Chock got the first one-on-one date of the season! AND he got to go to Disneyland! Joan and Chock met at Disneyland. Joan hopped off the little train and greeted Chock with a hug and Mickey and Mini Mouse ears. It was adorable. They walked around the park, went on the Dumbo ride and looked at the Millenium Falcon with R2D2. Joan found out Chock likes to fish and so does Joan. They had dinner at 21 Royal in the park, and Joan was dressed up like Cinderella in a beautiful ballgown. Chock told Joan that he had been married for 30 years and had kids, and he got divorced. Then he married a lady he was madly in love with and she passed away from cancer. Joan related to Chock on the level of losing a spouse and the push and pull of trying to find love again but not letting go of the love they had. Chock got the rose on the one-on-one date.

Group Date: The group had to do a talent show. Pascal cut hair. Kim performed a song he had written. It was great. Dan did a ribbon dance.

Dan got the rose on the group date. Dan struggles with tremors in his hands and can be a little self-conscious of the shake in his hands. He picked up the ribbons for a ribbon dance, and he was the best! Joan picked him to be the winner of the talent show, and Dan got to go on a dinner with Joan. Dan opened up about his health struggles and how his doctor had told him he would only have 6 months to live if he continued down that path. Dan turned his health around, and he’s doing great.

Instead of a cocktail party, Joan had a backyard BBQ and got some quality one-on-one time with the men. Jack did cannonballs into the pool.

Bonus Scenes: I love this group of men. Keep them all!

The men were having a heck of a time settling into the mansion. Charles L. and Gary went on a mission to get the men sleep aids like sleeping masks and earplugs. Also, Pascal is having a tough time adjusting to not having service staff around. He doesn’t cook or clean or do laundry apparently. Instead of the men making fun of him, Gregg banked on getting $100/load of laundry. And the guys fed him.
