Group Date Basketball, A Mall Date, a Dance Off, And Manifesting

We kicked off the dates with a 5-on-5 basketball game. But first kiddos came on the bball court to coach the ladies and Zoe created waves by stealing Grant for a chat. Natalie got the group date rose because Grant was impressed with her interactions with the kiddos. Alexe, who got the first impression rose night one, got the first One-on-One Date and a rose this week. The second group date was a dance performance. Mario made an appearance and Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin attempted to teach the ladies a dance. It was rough. Carolina was chosen as the competition winner, but Litia got the group date rose. Bailey had a lot of tears this episode.

Who got kicked off: Beverly is definitely still here. I could have sworn she wasn’t called at the rose ceremony last week. So someone best get to looking at the footage. (Update: I just rewatched for the 1,000th time and he calls Beverly during Bailey’s speech. So I feel dumb.) Going home week 2 are Allyshia, Ella, Rebekah, and Vicky. ABC did us dirty with their edits. I really thought Allyshia was going to last longer, but she is out week 2.

Group Date: Basketball Game

Date Card read: “It’s time to shoot your shot. Love, Grant,” and the ladies going on the date are Allyshia, Chloie, Natalie, Zoe, Beverley, Sarafeina, Alli Jo, Julianna, Vicky and Parisa

There were kids there that they played with. Zoe took Grant to the roof. She “forfeited” her dunk to steal him away.

5-on-5 Basketball Yellow team vs Purple team. Beverly pointed out that Team Purple had all the tall people. So she was not worried. And she was not wrong. The purple team won and got to spend more time with Grant. Chloie got the MVP award and Grant’s letterman’s jacket.

Natalie got the rose on the group date. Grant was impressed with how she interacted with the kids that were there on the date to coach the ladies for their basketball game.

At the afterparty, Zoe was making enemies. Earlier, during the basketball prep all the ladies had to try a dunk. When it got to Zoe’s turn, she said she was going to forego her dunk time and use it to steal Grant. She took him up the elevators to the roof, and they chatted. She also stole Grant back from Alli Jo at the afterparty. The ladies were not pleased.

First One-on-One Date: Alexe got the first impression rose and for this season that meant she also got the first One-on-One Date. Alexe and Grant went to the Beverly Center for a 90’s-style mall date. Alexe arrived to see a trail of rose petals all along the empty mall. It led to Grant. They went shopping. They jumped on a bed and broke it. They posed as a bride and groom in the mall window. They played gigantic ping-pong and raced each other on those little rides. They got a giant tub of ice cream. Grant played the piano. And they had a picnic on the floor. For the picnic, they had popcorn, candy and stuffed llamas and a giant stuffed teddy bear. Alexe opened up about being raised by her grandparents and choosing kids speech therapy to support kids the way she wished she had been supported by her parents.

Alexe got the rose on the One-on-One Date.

Speaking of the 90’s. We can all agree this is the same person, right? Where my 90’s kids at?

Second Group Date: Dance Competition. Rebekah, Bailey, Carolina, Dina, Rose, Ella, Litia,

The ladies had to perform a dance for Grant with the help of R&B singer Mario and Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin. It looks like the ladies kind of made their own lyrics, did a group dance and then had solo parts. It was rough. Grant chose Carolina as the winner of the dance off. And Carolina and Grant danced together and then Carolina straddled him on stage and made out heavily. It was hard for the other ladies to watch. It was a lot.

Litia got the rose on the group date. At the cocktail party, Litia brought up how Grant had said night one that she likely doesn’t get told “no” often. It was referencing how pretty she was, but it brought up a past hurt for Litia. It sounds like in a previous relationship, her boyfriend didn’t want to get married.

Side note: The amount of times these ladies use the word manifest is a lot.

Cocktail party

Bailey cried a lot. I felt bad for her. It felt like maybe the process was getting to her. Beverly got some solid screen time this week. Ella wrote him a letter and was sent home.

Next week, more tears! It looks like a trip to Vegas.
